Who: Name of Hostess
What's your project's name:
What's your tagline: a little descriptive one-liner about your project
What's your project about:
How many artists will participate in your project:  It is suggested that projects have a set number of participants:
What kind of project is it: Mingle, Optional Mingle, Swap, Tip-In, Collaborative? (Round Robins are not hosted in the group).

Describe the details or the scope of your project: please provide details as to how the project will be run and what the participants need to know when creating and submitting their work.  If this is a collaborative, what guidelines do the participants need to follow when creating their work.  Is this going to be a bound book?  How many copies do they need to provide (it is suggested that three extra copies be submitted by each artist to provide for any problems with punching and coiling and also to make an extra book for charity).  Do the copies need to be embellished, mounted to cardstock?
What is your project's dimensions: what is your project size?  If it can be within a range of sizes include the smallest to the largest.
When will your project take place:: Relevant dates for the project: your start date (Saturday is the best day for sign-up, usually noon EST), any intermediate dates, your end date.  Timelines are excellent ways to give your participants an idea of how to schedule their project time.  Start and end dates are mandatory; intermediate dates are at the hostess's discretion.   In the case of a project that needs assembling or trading out by the hostess, also provide the mail dates for the participants to send in their work to the hostess as well as the hostess mail date to return the completed projects to the participants.
Will you be awarding a prize: Would you like there to be a judging for your project such as Best of Show?  What will your prize be?  Best of Show

No judging for this project

If you're going to award a prize how will the judging work: If there is to be judging for a Best of Show prize how will it work?  Will the submissions be judged anonymously?  Will they be judged by the members of the group?  How will this be done?  Will the submissions be judged by a guest judge?  If so, it is up to the hostess to procure the judge.
Do you need a template: when needed you can work with Rande or Gale to formalize and finalize your template to make sure it prints properly (previous examples of templates: fan project, banner project). Yes, there will be a template

No template for this project

What would provide some inspiration to your participants in the creation of their work for your project:  Links to personal websites or blogs that might provide your participants with inspiration, books that would provide your participants with ideas.
What about your prototype or sample: There should be a prototype constructed by the hostess to show what the completed project could look like. In the case of a fat book you can provide a photo of a previous fatbook created in the PaperWhimsy Group. If you were not a participant in a fatbook in the PaperWhimsy group please contact Gale or one of the moderators for photos. In most cases a project cannot commence until a prototype is completed by the hostess. Yes, I have a prototype

No, my prototype is a WIP

Project Requirements: Project requirements must include one original PaperWhimsy image and/or one orig. PW image and one component from the PaperWhimsy shoppe. In the box to the right please list out possible components that a participant might use from the PaperWhimsy shoppe in this project.

Ex.: this was used for the Faerie Slippers Project:

SUGGESTIONS FOR PW EMBELLISHMENTS: Anything from the Frills and Froufrou or Fiber sections of PW; rhinestones, leaves, flowers, ribbons, roving or Angelina Fibers. But don't be limited by these suggestions, there are lots of fun things in the PW Shoppe that you can use, just think small. I used Prima Flowers, Prima Leaves and Roving on mine...plus assorted sequins, beads and embroidery thread. You MUST use at least one embellishment from PW but the choice is yours!

(Note: paints and glues, even those purchased from the Shoppe, are not included as a component parts to satisfy the requirement for this project.)

Advertising: The hostess will create a buzz about her upcoming project in the group. Best done in the Chat area in a sticky topic. Daily teasers approx 5-7 days in advance of start date will help create excitement about the project and anticipation of the opening for sign-ups. Hostess will also be visible during the project dates, supporting the participants and providing positive feedback on their artwork and ideas.

Support: Each hostess will be assigned a Moderator who will mentor them and assist them with their project if and when needed.   Moderators can assist with sign-ups, creation of a database for project participant details and the creation of a template if one is needed.  Moderators can provide suggestions for teasers and the best way to advertise the project.  Moderators can also step in and trouble shoot in the event that there is a problem.  Moderators will not, generally, anticipate a hostess's needs but will be available to assist should the hostess need it.  Please remember that a mentor just assists the hostess when needed; it is the hostess who will be the most visible person during the course of their project and the one who advertises and drives their project.

SURPRISE!  Hostesses will receive a $25 or $35 gift certificate to the PaperWhimsy shoppe upon the successful completion of their project!  And you receive a gift certificate for as many successful projects that you host.  There is no limit.  The amount of the gift certificate will depend upon the nature of the project.  Simple swaps will be $25 gift certificate.  More involved hostess participation in the swapping or assembling of a project will be a $35 gift certificate.
